Q: What Automatic adjustments does the SILKYPIX software perform to my photos?
A: Some things that you might find handy is that SILKYPIX performs automatic noise reduction, as well as automatic dodging (only on the PRO version). There are some other trade secrets that happen within the software to give you the best results possible.
Q: SILKYPIX seems a little slower than my other RAW converter, why is that?
A: In photo retouching software there is a series of procedures that happen within the software affecting the RAW data. Each time you make an adjustment to the image, you degrade the RAW data, even if you reset the data to what you think is the original RAW file, it is still minutely degraded in quality. With SILKYPIX, it creates a separate sidecar file so there is no image quality loss whatsoever. This increases the workload a little bit on your computer, but you will not have any loss in quality as opposed to other RAW software.
Q: What speed improvements can I expect in the latest versions of SILKYPIX?
A: Development processing has accelerated compared to earlier versions by efficiently using multi-processors and making full use of many cache mechanisms. Also, you can now batch develop photos as a background process. You no longer have to wait until it is finished to continue making edits to other photos.
Q: When will the MAC version be available?
